Mock trials are designed to be as consistent with an actual trial as possible. Jurors ultimately deliberate to a unanimous verdict, after hearing evidence from plaintiff and defense counsel, and after being read jury instructions.
The length of each mock trial varies. Accordingly, the unique specifics of each case must be evaluated before a specific mock trial itinerary is designed. The mock trials are all videotaped for subsequent viewing, and individual and group verdicts are obtained for statistical analysis.
Mock trials are an invaluable resource for mediation and trial preparation. Counsel develops confidence and more control from this dress rehearsal. Furthermore, a mock trial strengthens the ability of counsel to conduct a successful Voir Dire.
